Bring the Noise by matt - August 10, 2004

Hello again friends,

Your own beloved home team The Missing Planes are back in action this Friday at Merlin's on Elmwood Avenue, across from Feel Rite. This 4-band rock and noise sweatfest is slated to start at 10 p.m., and we are happy to be sharing the stage with bands from Montreal (One Candle Power), Detroit (My Last Letter), and Cleveland (I Sing The Body Electric). I must admit that I am not too familiar with One Candle Power or My Last Letter, but we at Missing Planes central are well acquainted with the 2-man sledge hammer of bruising rock power that is I Sing The Body Electric. We had a blast when we shared a bill with them in Cleveland last February. If you are a hardcore noise rock warrior who has never really gotten over the Amphetamine Reptile record label's fall from prominence, ISBE has got some sludgey, crunchy, riff-a-licious rock to drop on you, brother.

The Missing Planes will be playing a set of entirely new material! Yowza! You read that right, chiefy. All new. So, if you never liked any of our old songs, this is your chance to come out. And, it's all rock, Bubba, no sensitive shit. This will be our last Buffalo appearance before we go to New York City to record our new EP, so come on down, wish us luck, and put in your two cents about what new tunes should be high on the priority list when we enter the studio next week. We'd sure appreciate it, and the three other bands could definitely use your help with gas money. Hope to see you Friday.
